Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company recognized a longtime employee who has retired after 43 years of service.
Janis Hittle retired Friday, March 31, after a 43-year career in Davey’s corporate offices in Kent. Hittle, who lives in Ravenna, Ohio, joined Davey in 1973 as a secretary in the office services department in the corporate office and was later promoted to supervisor of office services. In 2001, she became program support coordinator in the corporate communications department, the position she held until her retirement. In 2002, she became the first Davey employee to earn certification as a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP).
“To say Janis has touched many lives during her Davey years is no small statement,” said Sandra Reid, vice president, corporate communications and strategic planning administration. “Janis has worked with hundreds of people in her more than 40 years at Davey. We wish Janis and her husband Russ the best in their retirement.”
