Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Bill Van Cura to regional vice president of utility operations, Upper Atlantic.
Van Cura has 35 years of experience in the green industry, including nearly 25 years of utility vegetation management service experience. He was the district manager of The Care of Trees, a Davey company, Hamden, Connecticut, Residential/Commercial office, and most recently, Van Cura served as the corporate operations manager for Eastern Utility services.
“Bill is a seasoned expert in the industry,” said Mark Vaughn, vice president and general manager of U.S. Northern Utility Operations. “His years of experience providing safety-oriented, client-first service will be a valuable asset in this new role.”
Van Cura holds an associate’s degree in science from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. He is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist® and is a licensed tree expert with the state of New Jersey. He is a member of the ISA, both the New England and New Jersey chapters, the Utility Arborist Association and the Connecticut Tree Protective Association. Van Cura is also accredited in organic land care by the Northeast Organic Farming Association.
