Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company recently announced the promotion of Brian Parris to regional safety specialist within Davey’s Safety Department.
In his new role, Parris will be responsible for supporting the safety and training of Davey Tree service lines in the South.
Most recently, Parris served as a utility safety specialist in North Carolina. Previously, he was a foreman, trimmer and line clearance arborist trainee. Parris joined Davey Tree in 2001 and recently celebrated his fifteen-year anniversary.
“Over the years, Brian has proven his dedication to creating a safe, productive work environment. As a regional safety specialist, he has the expertise, experience and leadership skills to help our employees learn and embody safe work practices,” said Johnny Wilson, Davey Tree’s manager of field safety support.
Parris is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist®. He is also a Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) Certified Tree care Safety Professional.
In 2014, Parris attended and graduated from the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, the company’s flagship training program. There, Parris participated in educational and hands-on programs, covering everything from climbing and safety procedures to best management practices.
